While conducting research for the collaborative writing project, I found a source that will be especially useful to anyone who is doing a topic related to the nineteenth century. Early American Imprints is a collection of primary sources, books, and other documents that were published between 1801 and 1819. It was originally available in microform, but has since been digitized and is now available through BobCat. It does require an NYU username and password. In the past, logging into other databases from off-site had been as issue; I thought it might have been related to the fact that my laptop is a Mac. Fortunately, I had no trouble gaining access to this source from my laptop on a non-university network.
